Hi guys!

It seems like another typhoon is hitting Japan right now. Everyone please take care!
It's really about time we get some decent sunny weather around here...

Anyways, the other day we were in Shinjuku walking around.
When we're walking around we tend to always find something with animals on it; be it clothing, posters at a train station, small figurines by a shop window.

This is what we found then ⇩

Notice the animals?! XD

This is from a shop called EAR Papillonner and we've had an eye on this shop because they have a good selection of imported animal design products!

So at first we just thought these were just random animals, but we learned that they were in fact

Japanese endangered species!!

It's actually an amazing theme, focusing on native endangered species.

Steller's sea eagle
Oriental stork
Blakiston's fish owl
Asian black bear
Iriomote wild cat
Ezo stoat
Ezo (siberian) chipmunk

These 7 species are designed on the bag.
We absolutely love the realistic artwork♡ But we also love how functional the bag is.

This product is a collaboration with Burlap Outfitters, who are famous for using quality functional fabric.
Using Cordura's water resistant fabric, it is very lightweight and easy to pack. It even comes with its own little pouch to keep this bag inside.

There's a small inner pocket to keep your knick knacks in one place. Red zipper because the animals are listed on the IUCN Red list!

As a brand, they have noticed that animal welfare is more widely recognized in the fashion industry these days, which is why they decided to choose Japanese endangered species as a collaboration theme.
It makes us very proud and happy to know that a local brand shares similar views as SAMSARA!

Next blog we'll introduce the Japanese endangered species illustrated on this product!
