ジャイアントパンダといえば、中国。
以前は中国の広い地域に生息していたものの、現在はほとんど四川省にしか生息していません。
もちろん世界で有数の保護研究施設も全て四川省にあります。
実はSAMSARAはパンダについてもっと知るべく、
今月の初めに四川省パンダツアーを決行していましたっ✈︎✈︎✈︎
Most of you probably link Panda and China together. It comes as a set.
In the past when panda population was thriving, they inhabited a vast area of China.
However, majority of the population today concentrates in Sichuan province.
Leading institutions for panda research and protection are in fact located within this large province.
Earlier this month, to learn more about pandas and how they are protected, we actually visited the world famous panda institutions!

Here's a quick explanation of one of the instutions...
①成都大熊猫繁育研究基地 / Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding
場所 四川省成都市（市内から車で30分）/ Location - Sichuan prov, Chengdu (30min drive from city centre)
時間 7:30am - 6:00pm / Time - 7:30am - 6:00pm
個体数 200頭近く / Number of pandas - about 200
1987年に野生から保護された6頭のジャイアントパンダとともに始まったこの施設は世界最大規模のパンダ専門の研究施設で、世界中の動物園や大学、研究施設にパンダを貸し出しています。中でもアトランタ動物園とのパートナーシップを通して何度もパンダの繁殖に成功しています！日本は和歌山のアドベンチャーランドと提携しており、パンダの保護と繁殖の研究に貢献しているそうです。
This institution, known as one of the largest focusing on pandas, started in 1987 with just 6 pandas rescued from the wild.
It is known for loaning out pandas to zoos, universities, and other institutions worldwide, and is most famous for its successful partnership with Zoo Atlanta.
Their partnership with Adventure World in Wakayama prefecture (Japan) is also proving success.
